How to link Dell Latitude 7480 drivers to Boot Enviornment

I've used the Media Manager to upload a new Boot Environment to my K2000. I've also gone to the driver feed section and have downloaded the Win 7 (x64) drivers for the Latitude 7480 and it has a status of "Installed into Driver Share". I've still yet to to be able to boot to the network using a 7480 and download the latest image I've uploaded to our K2000.

I've read up on lots documentation in Quest, but have still yet to be able to determine how to link a driver to boot environment from the K2000 appliance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Most likely you will need to download needed drivers from Dell's website which will be in a .cab format, extract NIC and storage drivers using winrar or 7zip and upload to K2000 and then recache all drivers and rebuild KBE - kace_admin 7 years ago
  • Also make sure you have the most up to date WinPE which for Win 7 is winpe3?

We had similar issue with the 5480 - khoelle 7 years ago
  • Hey Khoelle. The issue was I was attempting to image a 7480 using a Windows 7 image BUT the NVMe drives only support windows 8 and higher if I'm not mistaken. I was however able to install a Windows 10 image on the 7480. - DillonG 7 years ago
