If you know the uninstall password, or none is set, you should be able to run the following:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Security Agent\pccntmon.exe" -m <uninstall password>
However, I wasn't able to test this method since in our case we didn't have that password.
Trend provides a universal uninstaller, SCUT, which you can access from their business support site (https://success.trendmicro.com/diagnostic-tools) if you have a login there – you don't need to have an active Trend license to access it. You can then deploy this tool as a Managed (un)Installation for Apex One. The tool has a built-in expiration date, so keep in mind you'll only be able to use it for maybe a few weeks or months after downloading.
Just upload the ZIP file they provide via the "upload and associate new file" option, and then, under Installation Options:
- check "override default installation"
- set the command line to A1\scut.exe -noinstall
- Be sure the "Uninstall" and "Don't prepend msiexec.exe" options are checked.
Hopefully that works for you, it seems to have done for us.
