I am using the Dell Command Configure Utility so I can get the bios configuration I need for our computers. I get two files a .sh and the .exe  now I would like to make this a Pre Installation Task to be part of the imaging tasks. But do not know how to do this. Could someone help me out on this?

Go to Library > Preinstall task
Choose K2000 Boot Environment (Windows)
Upload the .exe
(the .sh is for Linux operating systems)
use the parameters (if a bios password needs to passed over or similar) if needed and name it.

Then you can use it in the image as preinstall task

    • Thank you both for the reply. So I followed your instructions Nico_K and for the parameters I typed in what aragorn said ( I changed my .exe name to the same as he wrote. When I run it I get a error 10, unknown error, so I changed CCTK_BIOS.exe" --valsetuppwd=to mypassword....ran it still same error 10 ,error Unknown error.
Any clues as what I need to do from here. - TimHR 9 years ago
      • Looks like you have something wrong in your cctk profile. please take a look on these error codes. http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/systems-management/w/wiki/1953.dell-client-configuration-toolkit-cctk-error-codes - aragorn.2003 9 years ago

Yes I have a password  tried it with one computer that had no password and one computer with out password.  Also on the test computer I changed all bios back to default  and took off the password.  Still same error.  Do I have to have cctk installed on all computers for it to work?
Now I put in the k1000 (the same .exe file and it works perfectly. Ran it as a script with a reboot.
