We have mutiple organizations on our K1000. if you are referreing to automatic placement to the organizations within the K1000 you need to look at the placement rulles for the org's

yes that is correct the placement rules for the org,s
What actually happens is: if we cannot find a server or workstation in our OU,s, we look for them in System under computers.
After placing them in their correct Ou's after some time we find that they automatically place in other Ou,s
what causes this to happen?

Can you paste your placement rules for your org's?
It sounds like the unit temporaily does not meet the rule and it gets moved by the k1000 to the other org - SMal.tmcc 12 years ago -
Hi guys
i am not sure this could be a placement rule issue
here is another eg:
we have about 10 different Ou's, on each Ou they are separated by there Ip address
lets say we have a Morkels branch that is 11.66... and another Hi- Finance that is 11.55...
why is it that i find computers that should be in the 11.66 branch are now in the 11.55 with a 11.66 Ip address and visa versa
this is happening in all my Ou's finding 3 or 4 pc's in the wrong Ou's
not sure why this is happening
kind regards - burtono 12 years ago -
If your placement rules look right to you I would call support to be sure you do not have database problem occuring - SMal.tmcc 12 years ago

Are you refering to labels/smart labels, or are you actually using Active Directory OUs to organize the servers/clients on the k1000?
