Please report more information on the bug you have found here in this forum. Virtual Disk Utility is not an open source project and we do not give access to the source code. Some useful information to provide would be:
1. What OS? Windows or Mac OS X? What version? What edition? What service packs or hotfixes installed?
2. What operation were you performing when the bug occurred? File copy? What application were you using?
3. What happened when the bug occurred? Did the program crash? Did you experience file corruption or loss?
That should at least get us started toward understanding, trying to duplicate, then fix the problem. Thanks!
