In software inventory, can you differentiate between standalone Adobe apps and apps that are part of a suite?
We have some users who use Adobe Photoshop, and some who use the whole Adobe suite. Is it possible to differentiate between the two for license compliance?
Standalone Photoshop and the Adobe suite are licensed as different products. The Adobe suite includes Photoshop. The software is inventoried by exe name and version, so the license count for Photoshop includes people who have the suite installed in addition to people with the standalone version.
Is there another way to handle this so that our license counts are more accurate?

I helped someone else with that problem with another adobe product. The serial number is stored in a file in this location
C:\ProgramData\regid.1986-12.com.adobe
You can use a modified version of this cir for software inventory. If you create a smart label that checks for Adobe photoshop and tie it to the appropriate CIR with a smart label. If the CIR is not null it will show that it is installed and what version
here are the cirs I created for them, you need to change it to read the proper file and use the first four digits of your serial number
ShellCommandTextReturn(cmd /c if exist C:\ProgramData\regid.1986-12.com.adobe\regid.1986-12.com.adobe_V7{}AcrobatESR-12-Win-GM-en_US.swidtag findstr "<swid:serial_number>1217" C:\ProgramData\regid.1986-12.com.adobe\regid.1986-12.com.adobe_V7{}AcrobatESR-12-Win-GM-en_US.swidtag > %1 && echo Adobe Pro)
ShellCommandTextReturn(cmd /c if exist C:\ProgramData\regid.1986-12.com.adobe\regid.1986-12.com.adobe_V7{}AcrobatESR-12-Win-GM-en_US.swidtag findstr "<swid:serial_number>9353" C:\ProgramData\regid.1986-12.com.adobe\regid.1986-12.com.adobe_V7{}AcrobatESR-12-Win-GM-en_US.swidtag > %1 && echo Adobe STND)
C:\ProgramData\regid.1986-12.com.adobe
