There are several known issues for Secure Browser for IE6 related to the following areas:
- There is no support for Flash or certain Active X controls.
- There are several customization/personalization features (create favorites, reset web settings, etc.) that are not functioning
- There are several issues where the browser interacts directly with the OS ("File Open", Changing Start Program Name, etc.)
Follow the below steps to build the Secure Browser IE6 .msi file:
- Download SBCreatorInst.exe, which is a compressed file. http://itninja.com/media/downloads/SBCreatorInst.exe
- Double clicking on SBCreatorInst.exe will extract two items, the MUI folder and SecureBrowserCreator.exe.
- Run SecureBrowserCreator.exe. This will scan your system to verify the proper files exist in order to properly build the .msi file, as well as download the installer file from KACE.
- If you are prompted to download the installer file, click Yes.
- Once it has downloaded the installer file, and there are no missing or incorrect file versions, the Build button will be active.
- Clicking on the Build button will then create the Secure Browser IE6 .msi file.
- When this is complete, there will be a link listed within the utility that points to the %TEMP% directory where the newly created .msi file is copied to.
- Follow that link and run the Secure-Browser-IE6_en-US.msi to install Secure Browser IE6.
