K1000 Service Desk = Best Bractical's RT?
We've been Request Tracker users for many years and are still using it today with great success. We recently acquired a K1000 and upon initial inspection it seems that Service Desk in using an embedded version of RT. Can anyone confirm or deny that this is the case, and more importantly, does anyone have any experience with migrating an existing installation of RT over to this tool? We're going to give it a whirl and will try to document our experiences if successful, but any head start information would be greatly appreciated. We'd very much like to transfer our historical information and current configuration over if it's at all possible.
Thanks

Request Tracker is not a system that I have come across in the past but there does seem to be some similarity in the functionality. With regards to migrating functionality and data into KACE. Some may say there is a downside of KACE that you are unable to import historical data into KACE from other toolsets. I would personally encourage anyone taking up a new tool to take a fresh look at functionality and data, why would you want to clog up a shiny new tool with years of bad practice and data??
