Kace Agent 7.2
Hi there,
I want to update all my Clients to the Kace Agent 7.2 prior to upgrading our Kace 1000 to the 8 version. If I update the Kace Agent to 7.2 during the day does this require the pc to be rebooted and/or does it hard reboot it?
Just worried because after some Kace Agent updates I have done in the past the pc has been rebooted and trying not to annoy my clients!!
Kind regards
Simon

with the 7.2 agent there is a known limitation which can cause a reboot.
If you installed a software/patch which needs a reboot but it were not yet rebooted, the device will reboot.
If you are using metering the installation will also force a reboot due to a bug.
If your agents on 7.x you can update to 8.0 and then update the agents directly to 8.0.
Agents prior to 7.x cannot checkin into a 8.0 box anymore.
