Kace Agent not running inventory

We have one server that is not checking into Kace.  After doing some troubleshooting with Kace support, the consensus is that the inventory.xml file is not updating (it is able to create it, but it always remains 0 KB).  If I run KInventory manually, the last item that it returns before completing is "KInventory  Now creating report...".  On a working PC, it moves to "Inventory captured and completed" immediately after and continues to run additional commands.  I have tried outputting it to different directories, running from different accounts, verifying permissions, etc.

In the KAgent log, there are some errors thrown concerning permissions and the inventory.xml file.

UploadFile(http://127.0.0.1:50860/service/inventory.php?KUID=ee0b8ff2-bf99-48aa-a4a3-46a8274e7f22&VERSION=11.0.119, C:\ProgramData\Quest\KACE\inventory.xml) unable to read source file: Permission denied (13)

When running runkbot 4 0, it indicates that KInventory ran successfully.

Creating process returned non-zero: C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest\KACE\KInventory -machine -silent -out "C:\ProgramData\Quest\KACE\inventory.xml": (0) The operation completed successfully.

I still have a support ticket open with Quest support, but he said that he would send it over to the dev team and did not seem confident that this could be resolved.

Sounds like you may have a AV program or some privilege management SW installed that may be causing an issue.

Have you tried to install a plain vanilla  Windows OS into a virtual machine and see if it can connect to the SMA and run inventory?

You may want to run WMIC to retrieve a list of all installed programs and attach that to your support ticket.
