KACE captured image deploy
Hello, I got an issue during deployment captured image which always lead to errors. Is there any proper way how should I deploy the captured image?anything that i should check? I'm still new using KACE K2000

One thing to look for is making sure your image deploys to a nice, clean drive. I always do the following on images:
- Check the box for "Remove local files not in image"
Preinstallation tasks:
- Create Single Partition
- Format C: as NTFS
- Install Vista/2008/7 MBR
Also - for Win7 I've found making sure you capture and deploy with one partion works best (i.e. no hidden system partition)
Good Luck!

What OS are you deploying? Did you sysprep the image before capturing it? What errors exactly are you getting during the deployment? A little more information would be nice, it helps us help you. :)

Definitely post more details. Sometimes we have seen the errors before and worked through them ourselves. There are a lot of little things that can go wrong during deployment. - philologist 12 years ago

here are the error appear
[warning] Unexpected size from remote for C:\ResSys.ini: expected:192, received:0
[error] Failed to create item for D:\$RECYCLE.BIN: (21) The device is not ready
[error] Error opening directory while building local file list for E:\: The system cannot find the specified - ITKACEnewbie 12 years ago -
This is typically related to partitions not being setup correctly. Would be best to call support and get in a webex.
If you captured 3 partitions, then you need to create 3 partitions as a preinstall, and you need to set them to the correct size.

Sounds like you partitions are flipped at the time you capture. You can "Collect Inventory" before the capture and check this. This article http://www.kace.com/support/resources/kb/article/Deploy-a-Windows-7-Image-Containing-the-100-MB-System-Partition explains this a little more. This is supposed to be working now in 3.4.
