Kace K1000 does same software inventory for 32-bit and 64-bit software
Hi everybody,
I have a software (Ivanti Endpoint Security Agent), which I would like to deploy with the K1000.
The software has a 32-bit and a 64-bit setup, they should get installed on the particular OS (32-bit and 64-bit Windows Systems).
Now I installed the 64-bit setup on a 64-bit system, ran an inventory and could create software deployment without any problems.
Then I installed the 32-bit setup on a 32-bit system and I ran an inventory. Now kace makes no difference between the installed 32-bit and 64-bit software.
This blocks me in creating a separate Software Deploy for each setup, because the K1000 sees no difference.
Can you comprehend my situation? Does anyone have the same situation and how could you solve it?
I already thought about change some Regedit entries in the 32-bit system and then run another inventory so the K1000 creates another software.
Thanks
Fabrizio

In these situations we generally create a batch file to perform the install that detects the OS architecture and installs the correct version. This batch file is uploaded along with the installation files for both OS architectures and executed for the managed install. When the K1000 distributes the software the correct version is installed.
