Latitude E5430 freezing during KBE boot

We received some E5430 laptops in, and I'm trying to create an image for them. We've used E5420's in the past, and my plan is to just deploy the E5420 image to the E5430 and change necessary drivers. However, upon booting into the KBE, I get the Windows 7 spinning logo, and the 4 colored "dots" freeze when circling to create the Windows logo. I've gone into the K2000 and installed the driver feed for the E5430 x86 and x64, and it still does it. I've also recached the drivers on the K2000, and still no luck.

Any ideas?

Could this be something similar to the issues many had with different BIOS versions? http://www.itninja.com/blog/view/bios-pxe-boot-issues It looks like the E5530 had this exact issue because of BIOS versions.

    • No problem. I've just started assuming that the BIOS is the problem whenever a new Dell has PXE errors. :P - Ben M 12 years ago

Hello,

have you re-upload the KBE environment using the Media Manager utility after the recaching the drivers?

  • No, I have not. I'm uploading a new Windows 7 x86 KBE right now and will see if that works. - sfigg 12 years ago
