Loss of Mouse/Trackpad in newly created KBE - No drivers installed
Hello All,
Running into a situation where I've created a new KBE to image our new Dell Precision 7530 systems and when I get to the screen to choose whether to deploy an image or capture an image, I lose mouse functionality via the system's trackpad. This tells me that the driver is not being installed. However, I can tab through the menu and complete the image. Once, I'm in the OS, I notice alot of drivers missing within the Device Manager. I've downloaded and installed the Windows 10 ADK for Windows 10. I also downloaded the KBE Driver Pack PE10 and extracted to \\driver\kbe_windows_x64 directory. I used driver feed to download and install the drivers for 7530/Win_10. Recached the drivers in KACE and still unable to have drivers loaded into the system. Can someone give me some insight as to what I am missing here?
Thank you all!

Recaching the drivers feed is only for the \drivers_postinstall folder not for the \drivers folder.
Make sure the Precision 7530 driver pack is properly installed in the Drivers Feed:
It's a 1.01GB file size, make sure is installed in Library › Dell Driver Feed .
Go to \drivers_postinstall\dell\YourOS\ make sure there is a folder named "7530" with all the drivers folder downloaded. Recache all drivers and try again.
If this is a System Image Deployment, make sure your Image was Sysprepped and you enabled the Option to "Use Driver Feed", if the Image was not Sysprepped, no drivers will be installed.
If this is a Scripted Install, the drivers should be installed normally.

no, the post install drivers dont need to be recached. They are simply copied in the mid level task.
You _NEED_ the recache for the drivers for the KBE _BEFORE_ you build the KBE... - Nico_K 5 years ago
