Message Error 1904 Dll fails to register - but it has registered!
Hello, I have a strange problem. When my MSI is pushed through my customers GPO per user, the user (admin rights) gets then message "Error 1904 Module xxx.dll failed to register" for each dll in the package. If we ignore the messages we can see that everything works, the dll:s are in fact registered!
It we run regsvr32 to manually register the file, it works. If we run the MSI manually, no problems or messages.
When I try the same thing in my test environment, the same as my customer, Win 2003 server and Win XP sp2 everything works without problems.
The only difference in my customers gpo compared to mine is that there are two other msi packages in the group policy, Office 2003 and an other.
Do you have any idea?

Well, now two days later we have found that the problem is in fact due to Office 2003 being installed by th GPO. If Office is installed manually the MSI works OK. The DLLs that the MSI installes are COM Addins for Office.
