MSI doesn't work
First let me apologize. I'm new at repackaging but have a deadline of tomorrow to come up with a way to repackage google chrome to push out with zenworks.
I went through the process of creating an msi for chrome. It all seems correct with the settings I need. But when I go to execute the msi on another computer, the msi runs and installs chrome but when I go to execute Chrome, it opens as a generic new install. None of the settings I setup during the repackaging are there. I have read all I can and have done this project over a dozen times. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Please??!!!
Thanks,
Deb

Make sure the settings are not being excluded from the packaging process. There is an opportunity to review what has been captured and what has been excluded for both files and registry items. It sounds like the settings may not be getting included. You may have to do a separate snapshot to capture just your settings in order to determine just where they are being stored.
Also have you checked out the Package KB listing for Chrome: http://itninja.com/link/unattended-install9. It looks like they provide an enterprise MSI package directly and if not, you may be able to automate the installation by passing "/S" to the installer.
