New dell latitude model drivers not in dell driver feed
We received a new model dell latitude 5510 laptop. I don't see the drivers available for download in the dell driver feed. Shouldn't this be automatically done or does a support ticket need to be opened with Kace?

Ok I did open a support case with Quest for this particular model. As we have a bunch of these laptops to image hoping the workaround is in place soon. - rocketman818 4 years ago

Generally if we don't get it up in time, a call to support will get it done. With this particular model, we have an issue. The beginning of these file names are representative of the model and the version of the file as well as the OS it belongs to. When extracted, that cab gets installed into a directory with the model name. The problem is that Dell already had a precision 5510, which is in the feed as 5510, so when they released the latitude 5510 with the same name name it poses some issues. We are trying to implement a workaround, apologies for the inconvenience.

any idea how soon a workaround may be completed? - rocketman818 4 years ago
Please do the following:
1. check if the driver pack is avaiable from Dell:
https://www.dell.com/support/article/de-de/sln312414/dell-command-deploy-driver-packs-for-enterprise-client-os-deployment?lang=en and collect the Link to the driver pack
2. run \\SDA\drivers_postinstall\feed_tools\driver_feed_discovery_tool.vbs on a machine in question and do a screenshot
3. Open a SR with KACE Support and provide these informations.
As a workaround you can upload the extracted .cab from 1. into the \\SDA\drivers_postinstall\dell structure as 2. shown you it is needed.
