OSX: Netboot across subnets?

Good morning Ninjas,

Only recently have I created a working OSX netboot environment, captured a full image, and successfully deployed it. Unfortunately, we had to move our K2 to a VLAN on a different subnet and now it's broken. I've been doing some reading here and elsewhere and it appears that I cannot image OSX across subnets. However, a lot of the articles I read were dated, so I'm wondering if there was any more recent information that could help me out besides converting one of my wallports to the same vlan for the sole purpose of OSX imaging at my desk.

We do not control the infrastructure network equipment on site, but any suggestions on different hardware configurations would also be appreciated, as it is something I could potentially raise with our networking department.

Thanks,

-- Ray

We made many attempts to get this working and never had any success. We ended up going back to using DeployStudio for our MacOS imaging needs since we can put multiple network devices on one machine to make it accessible on multiple VLANs.

we created vm RSA's on the subnets that we cast the mac images to.  We have the main k2 on the tech subnet in our shop.  they capture the image to that and then sync it to the rsa's to deploy.
