OSX netboot RSA - image deployment utility not showing up?
We have multiple locations, and since OSX netboot doesn't work on different subnets, I had to deploy an RSA at a remote site to image their iMacs. They can netboot now - however, once they get into the netboot environment and login, there is no image deployment utility - just some "?" symbols on the dock.
I've verified that the OSX image has replicated over to the RSA. Tech support claims it's because of the IP scheme we are using there, but I know we've done this a few years ago without issue.
Our RSA IP is 10.20.7.20 and our machine IPs are 10.20.11.x, 10.20.12.x, and 10.20.13.x, since that's our DHCP scope. They both have the same gateway, subnet, DNS, etc.
Any ideas? I figure if the IP scheme was the issue, I wouldn't even be able to netboot. I shouldn't have to set static IPs on all of the iMacs to boot up and image.

Once you do that you will need to change the get_kbox_server script located in /usr/local/sbin and make it the hard IP to your K2000 you want to use
Working on fixing it but the reason is that when the mac is net booting it is not pulling the proper data from the K2000 so the folder /opt/kace/peinst is blank (thus the question mark on the dock rather than the imaging utility) - nwonknu 7 years ago
