Patching With Full Disk Encryption

We have TrendMicro Full Disk Encryption installed on all our laptops. But we can't patch our machines after hours and have it reboot and continue the patching . Is there away to by pass this or push out a Script to by pass the FDE?

  • Got this answer from our vendor TrendMicro.

"There is a tool that gets installed with the Full Disk Encryption called the DAAutologin.exe. This tool is specifically designed to bypass the Preboot for Windows Updates are applied which reboot is required and allows the Preboot to be bypassed once."

Open CMD and navigate to the installation folder %ProgramFile%\Trend Micro\Full Disk Encryption and then enter this the command:

    DAAUTOLOGIN.exe "{username}" "{password}"

Still wondering if this can be done as I don't believe Patching and Scripting and work together - ABaxter 9 years ago
