Provisioning Doesn't Work / Very Random

Hi I have set up an IP ranges to provision agents, (v9) it is very bizarre because almost all of the time it fails w/ error: NETWORK/NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED or NETWORK/AMP Connection not detected. But then maybe 1 out of 200 it will install, or maybe on a different vlan 5 out of 10 or 20 will install. I dont really understand this behavior. 443 and 80 should be open and we are using a account with domain admin. What else am I missing?

usually this means UAC is on too high or the firewall is blocking it. Also check your anti virus is not blocking it.

Hi

According to the KACE Administrator's Guide version 9.0:

For provisioning Windows devices, you can also use the KACE SMA GPO Provisioning Tool. Using the tool minimizes the pre-configuration that must happen on the target device.

GPO is the best way to remotely install the agent, with that being said, check this link:

  • We cannot use GPO. Right now we are having to install it manually. - lama01 6 years ago
