Report for Updates and Patches set for deployment
Good afternoon,
We have been using the K1000 to manage our Windows Server patches and Dell Updates for a few years now and we are looking to be a little more informed about the process.
Is there a report or script that can be run in order to easily determine which updates or patches are set to be deployed? We would probably run this report after the final nightly detect jobs run before patch Tuesday. This way, we would be able to see what is about to be updated that evening.
Any help or tips are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

The only way I can think of getting that information would be to report on the patches marked as missing, i.e. they have been detected and downloaded ready to be deployed?

I was thinking that would work however I'm not super familiar with the SQL syntax for that lookup. Is there any good reference to use for something like this? - BebopFloyd 2 years ago

I'll be tacking this soon as I do this all manually now. I will likely try and build a report with the wizard and then convert to sql and customize. Will likely need to use a sql tool like mysql to really dig in. I dont understand why kace doesnt provide a nice report so we dont have to spend all this time. - barchetta 2 years ago

I also dont understand why they make a DB schema change and dont fix the "canned" reports and I am stuck with figuring it out. - barchetta 2 years ago
