Suddenly getting "Error occurred syncing file list: exit code = 255" on 1 of 4 RSA's

This error started popping up today on one of my four RSA's when I attempted a sync.  This RSA is configured exactly as the other 3, all of which had no issues at all accepting the sync.  I've gone through Google and previous posts here and found some recommendations concerning the host name/IP.  I've tried all possible combinations of those and get the same results.  For what it's worth, the linking between the K2000 appliance and the RSA seems fine.  The connect tests fine in both directions.  I have also rebooted both the RSA and K2000 appliance.  I appreciate any insight or suggestions.  Thanks.

  • I tried the method you mention of removing and reading the links to the appliances and am still having the same issue.

Edit: I went back into the Linked Appliance settings of both the RSA and the Deployment Appliance and changed the Host name to the IP address. Once I did this the my RSA started to sync without issue. - cbeckner 7 years ago

I was able to figure this one out on my own, but wanted to post the solution in case others have this problem.

I had to delete the RSA from my K2000 appliance, remove the links from both devices and then add everything back.  After that it was syncing again without problems.

Thanks, that helped, but all i had to do is re-add the Remote Site. I did not have to re-link the appliances.
