Unable to attach knowledge base articles to work requests in KACE 110

We are able to *select* (look up) an article in the filter or drop down menu, but the selection does not stick, and the article is not attached to the work request. This is occuring in both Safari and Firefox.

When we upgraded our kbox to version 5.4.76847 apparently there was a bug with attaching KB articles.  Dell Kace told us to run this patch https://support.kace.com/packages/kb_attachments/95/kbox_patch_5.4_HD_KB_Comment_K1_12456.kbin  Running this patch did fix the issue for us. You might want to confirm with Kace before proceeding.

The thing is KB articles used to be appended* by supplying the HTML link to the KIB article.  They changed it to put inthe KB article text.  We are a company that uses the kbox for a service desk and tickets and don't use email submission, so this really jacked our ability to append a KB article AND use HTML in the KB article as you can not append HTML to a ticket, it just puts all the formatting tags in there :(
