Why is Patching Disabled For Windows?

So i am getting the alert "Patching is Disabled for Windows as signatures are missing and no patch updates are currently running to download them."

Is there a fix for this, so my updates will run?

zipperson,

Two things:  (1) Navigate to Settings > Control Panel > Patch Subscription (in your K1000) and ensure that the Signature Download is enabled and scheduled to run periodically (at least daily).  (2) Navigate to Security > Patching > Subscriptions and ensure that you are subscribed to the right OSes, Languages, Patch Types, etc.

p.s. We have a free, weekly training program called KKE, wherein we cover topics like Patching, linked below.

Had a similar issue a few days ago. Trying to re-download the patch definitions resulted in the same error message.

I opened up a ticket with Kace support and they connected up to my machine and saw the same thing I did and escalated it. I got an email response a few hours later asking me to try it again and it worked without a problem.

Not sure if it was a problem on their end or my end, but it may just be faster to go ahead and open a ticket with them.

I found the problem. I had changed the Patch Subscription to include additional operating systems, and had not ran a patch download since then.
