Windows XP SP3 Deployment Not Completing

We have about 200 systems that, for whatever reason, were never put on Windows XP SP3.  We just purchsed a K1200 appliance and are trying to upgrade those systems through a Managed Installation.  When attempting to install XP SP3 the file extracts exactly as it should and then stops.  I've watched the processes and see the Windows XP SP3 process run through the extraction process, then update.exe starts to run and then everything stops.  I have tried everything I could think of to troubleshoot this (disabled AV, rebooted, ran from local command prompt, tried on multiple computers, created a scripted install but have exact same issues) but I can't find anything in a KACE log file, Windows log file or anywhere that seems to point me to an error message or anything else to look up.  These systems will get upgraded to Windows 7 in due time, but in the mean time, I'd like to have a more secure environment.  Any other ideas/hints would be appreciated.

When you say it extracts as it should do you mean in the Kace directory?

What command lines are you using? Can you install the SP using those same command lines locally?
