XP Patch Mgmt
Question for you guys...
We are trying to figure out if when we download a patch manually and deploy it to several machines if we are losing any prerequsite checking that the Microsoft Update website would be doing? I would think that the prerequisites are being checked by the MSI itself instead of the website, but I'm not sure enough to report that to my mgmt.
Anyone know for sure?

We currently use Altiris Patch Management. However, SP3 has not been fully tested in our environment so we can not turn it on.. We are instead, only sending it out as-needed..
