Silent Uninstall - Microsoft Configuration Manager
Create the SilentUninstallConfig.xml File as shown above but place it in the same directory as the setup.exe file (root folder of your office source files).
Hello, I am testing Office ProPlus 2013 deployment. We currently are using Office ProPlus 2010 on Windows 7 computers. I am using the Office Customization Tool for Office 2013. I have set it to select Remove the following earlier versions of Microsoft Office programscheck box to remove previous versions. After the install of Office 2013, Office 2010 Tools folder still remains. I also tried installing Office 2013 manually, but it doesn't remove Office 2010 tools.
So my office 2013 package works fine in Win8 machines, but it doesn't work in Win7 with office 2010 machines.
My question is this... Is there a way to remove Office ProPlus 2010 while doing the install of Office ProPlus 2013?
For Uninstall - I used the following command line as there is a local copy of the install files on our KMS licensed professional plus version. Using the standard command lines didnt work and we received the error message your installation is corrupt. This may not work for everyone.
"%commonprogramfiles%\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE14\Office Setup Controller\setup.exe" /uninstall PROPLUS /config Config.xml /dll OSETUP.DLL
The config.xml file (Like the silent.xml as shown in an entry above by KARELV above is like the one I used) must be first copied into the folder "%commonprogramfiles%\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE14\Office Setup Controller.
Then the command line can be used.
