auto populate of team in servicedesk
Hi guys,
I'm new in KACE and I badly need some help here. Does anyone knows how to auto populate some fields in the sevicedesk like team, location or department when user created a ticket?
Device has mapped to the user. User mapped to the team,location,department etc..

If you are importing the information from LDAP then you can use custom ticket rules to populate tickets with that information. Here's an example of a rule that populates the Location field in a service desk:

In this case the custom field is number 11, in the database this is HD_TICKET.CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUE10. The default value for this field is 'Set on Save' and the rule checks for that value.

Good team effort there!! So if you also are able to import Team and Department in from your AD as well you will be able to extend the Ticket rule to include those fields - Hobbsy 9 years ago
