Deploying with batch file
My previous job is with packaging and distribution using Marimba. Now I am working with SMS.
In SMS how do you deploy softwares using batch files.
For example my SMS server name is "LTLSMS" and I need to deploy "setup.exe" with parameter "/quiet". Then my setup.exe is located in the D: drive of my SMS server.

In SMS when you create a package and program there is a blank for specifying the commandline action. You merely specify "setup.exe /q"

Thanks Drye. It worked for one of my test pc (which is a VM) but it failed to another pc.
I got the error:
An error occurred whitl preparing to run the program for advertisement "IIC2065D" ("IIC001C7" - "Install"). Additional program properties:
Command line:"setup.exe /quiet"
Working Directory:
Drive letter (?=any):
Possible cause: This messagae most commonly occurs when the program's command-line executable file could not be found, when a requried drive letter connection to a distributin point could not be established, or when the program is configured to use the SMS Software Installation Account but the account is not specified, coud not be found, or does not have the approprieate permissions.
Solution: check each of the times listed above. This program will be retried.

when you create your advertisement, be sure to choose the option that downloads the package to the remote computer. when batch files run they are run from the command line and they need to be run from the computer that it is getting deployed to
