How do I uninstall Right Fax Client Suite 9.4?

I have tried it on the command line and also with the Kbox Uninstaller Configuration Policy.  We are trying to push out a newer version, but need to uninstall the previous version.

I took pity on you as it's too early in the morning to bother but you would normally have been sent a LMGTFY link.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\[RightFax_Client's_ProductCode]\UninstallString

Also, if memory serves, RightFax is an MSI whose author knows how to use the Upgrade table, meaning that new releases cleanly upgrade older ones.

  • I think the problem we are having is the fact that the original install of Right Fax 9.4 we used the Setup.exe file instead of the MSI. Now it will not let us uninstall it with the K1000. - tsienkiewicz@ldirx.com 10 years ago
    • Hi,
have you checked the installation context of RightFax Print Processor x64.msi? As I've mentioned on your previous Question - as I remember RightFax Print Procesor doesn't have ALLUSERS=1 so by default it is installed per-user. If it was installed by some local user than it can't be removed in SYSTEM context. - rad33k 10 years ago
      • We never install programs with any local user accounts. We always install programs as domain admins. - tsienkiewicz@ldirx.com 10 years ago
      • If you are sure that installation and removal of RightFax 9.4 are performed in the same execution context then could you provide more details about the failure, any message from log or event viewer etc. - rad33k 10 years ago
