Image UltraBuilder[8|]
I am working with V3 of IUB and have run into a problem. While IUB is in the process of loading modules, I get an error that IUB can't create or resize the service partition. I have checked and unchecked the SP during setup a couple of different times.
Any ideas.

Not sure if you have figured this out, but one good way to see what IUB is doing in the background its to run the initial IUB app in DEBUG mode. I will post the info on how to do this just in case you don't know.
- Boot to your IUB3 boot disk.
- When you get the Welcome to ImageUltra blah blah screen click the X - close button in the top right corner. You should get a command prompt.
-at the command prompt type iubmenu /DEBUG. This will run some commands and then show the Wizard again.
At this point you will be able to see everything IUB is doing from the command prompt in the background.
You should see the error causing the SP issue in that window.

Just to follow up, I've run the iubmenu with the /debug switch and it seems this might be the problem:
IUBInst.PY - Running MOPS <Y:\.\netdepl\000D608BFBE7\Recovery\IUB\IUTemp\MOPS.AOD>
IUBInst.PY - There was a problem running MOPS
What do ya'll reckon?
Thanks in advance for anyone looking at this btw!

It look like you are running a Direct Network Install - have you tried a regular network install?
Also - for everyone that is using ImageUltra Builder I have started a Google Group dedicated to IUB. As forums go it is easier for me to direct everyone I deal with on a regular basis to a single place. I would like to start building a community around the ThinkVantage Technologies but without taking anything away from AppDeploy. I am a big fan and will remain on but I think the TVT's need a easier place for people to find help. Below is the link

Hi
I've just upgraded to v3 from 2.2 and am having issues I tired to login tot he google group but it doesn't seem to exist?
My issue is
Have build Portable Sysprep image, imaged it with Ghost 1.1 and deployed, all goes fine except when it reboots to go into the image the Ghosted Primary Partition is not active. If I Partition Magic it and make it active it then boots but goes into the OOBE of WXP? I hd this initially in v2.2 years ago but I had a typo in my image.bat file I have checked this but no joy any ideas?
thanks in advance

One of the nice things with V3 of IUB is that when you boot to the IUB Boot Disk you can go to a command prompt and do some digging. I would suggest, as a first step, to boot from a IUB v3 boot disk and when the Wizard comes up just X out of it. This will take you to a command prompt. Once at a command prompt you can use the DISKPART utility to check out the status of your partitions. While IUB is building the system you should have two partitions. One will be the service partition and the other will be your Primary. Remember you will want to do this when the system is in the state you describe.
With a little more information I might be able to provide a better solution but for now this should be a good start.
BTW - when you are at the command prompt you can restart the GUI Wizard by typing iubmenu.bat

thanks for that I am slowly progressing have managed to create successful images apart from the fact my PC's won't join the domain during sysprep. In fact during the imaging process it joins a workgroup with my domain name and then after sysprep it is in a workgroup called workgroup. When I try to join the domain at the end of the imaging process it works perfectly. Anyone else seen this, my sysprep.inf is pretty standard!
