Installshield silent install on Vista
Hello, still new to this position and Installshield. Does anyone know if running install shield 12 in silent mode works ok on Vista machines? Or are there things I need to do different for Vista machines? Thanks...

I am not sure about InstallShield bit it works very well in InstallAware and especially on Vista, it is great! InstallAware lets you select your target operating systems by simply choosing the minimum capability for your application, ranging from Windows 95 to Windows Vista. And then you don't have to worry about the rest.

For easy setup capture, you should definitely try InstallAware at www.installaware.com. There is also a ready to use sample project in InstallAware to do this. It will help you capture the exe or msi and get the integrated resultant MSI without any pain. You can rely on the intent of the original setup author to properly install products, the way they were meant to be installed and resolve conflicts and get software to work together naturally - without guesswork and causing unintentional damage to correct setup logic.

Mani!
Product advertising is done in the "Product Announcements" forum!
If you are not able to advice for any real suggestions or help in any way instead of advertising InstallAware which is the only thing you have accomplished so far then please keep away!
Follow the rules and you are most welcome.

Mani95,
Seconding that, at this time I see you have four posts and every one of them is pushing a product. Product promotion is not permitted outside the specified forum. You can answer a specific question about a product, but if someone is asking a technical question suggesting they try your favorite product is not an acceptable response.
