K2000 - UEFI deploy - apply image task fails

Hello, I have created a single partition Windows 10 Ent 1809 .wim image on VMWAre using BIOS and captured it successfully on the K2000. On deployment of System Image to BIOS machines the image installs successfully but it fails on "Apply image" task when deploying to UEFI machines. I have put in Pre-Install task of "[DISK] Create BIOS/UEFI Partitions" which comes by default in 6.1 and also applied mid level task of "[DISK] Apply BIOS/UEFI Partitions" still no dice

Any ideas on how to get around? It gives me error 61

Thanks in advance

For 1809, please make sure your KACE SDA is on version 6.1, see:

https://support.quest.com/kace-systems-deployment-appliance/kb/262103/kbes-built-with-adk-1809-will-not-capture-or-deploy-an-image-iso

Make sure the KBE being used to capture and deploy the 1809 Image, was built with the ADK 1809 installed in your computer:

I don't recall seeing an error 61, are you sure you are booting in UEFI mode? (It must say Boot Mode UEFI down where the footer of the KBE is located).

Do you remember what was the return code received?

(Attach a screenshot or picture of the error message).

  • Thanks for replying Channeler. I have attached a screenshot of the error in the OP

KBE was built with Windows 10 ADK. K2000 version is 6.1 - kace_admin 5 years ago
    • The task ID is 61, the error is 4294967295.

Are you sure only the letter C: was captured?

Also, Are you Able to see the text "Boot Mode: UEFI" printed in the bottom of the KBE main menu? (before you select your Image). - Channeler 5 years ago
      • Both C: and D: were captured. I am booting a VM using a bootable UEFI iso (pic attached in OP) - kace_admin 5 years ago
      • If both C: and D: were captured, the opening statement is not true:

"Hello, I have created a single partition Windows 10 Ent 1809"

You have two partitions captured, those tasks will not work. - Channeler 5 years ago
    • On the VM, did you install Win10 from a scripted install or directly from the ISO? You have to install from a scripted install that way only 1 partition is created. - flip1001 5 years ago
      • Hi flip1001, it was created directly from iso. Let me try to create with scripted install and update. Thanks - kace_admin 5 years ago

The process recommended by Flip1001 worked. Ran a Scripted install to base install OS and then captured that. Now no issues deploying to BIOS or UEFI machines. Thank you also to Channeler for his assistance
