Loading Drivers post image, prior to Sysprep
Ok please bear with me, am new to the scripting world.
Here is what we want to do:
We want to have program (script?) pull info from a text file and depending on the results then push the drivers to the PC that it is working on.
Here is what we have so far:
We are using Altiris, so at the moment we have a script built that will run the Dell Client Config Utility and pull the Processor Speed, BIOS rev, and model name. It grabs that info and places it in a text file.
We are an all dell shop and want to push only the drivers to it that it needs once the new os (XP) is loaded on it.
So what the script needs to do it read the text file for those 3 lines and depending on the result pushes a cretin set of drivers to that box. Altiris can push the drivers but need a nice quick way to be able to well which set to push.
We are migrating from Windows 2k Office 97 to Windows Xp Office 2003. We have about 800 Pcs to do this on.
ANY help is appreciated.
