Location of k2000_deployment_info.conf during KBE and Post-imaging phases?

Hi all,

is the file k2000_deployment_info.conf Kept in some form while a system is imaging in the pre/mid and post imaging sequences? I'm hoping to use it for setting data and dynamic behavior with scripts similar to how MDT has Task Sequence variables.

The k2000_deployment_info.conf file is created during the kcleanup task and placed in the %systemdrive%\programdata\Quest\KACE directory

In the past, if I needed the file earlier, I created a postinstall task that used similar code from the kcleanup task to create the file and then examine the tasks.xml file to find out what directory kcleanup was in and overwrote kcleanup with a similar version that left out creating the file.

Hi,

The deployment process files are in a temporary location during the deployment and are cleaned up in the last step of a deployment (kcleanup.vbs). I would guess that a post task could be used to move a copy of that file to another location if needed, the only files left after a deployment is the setupcomplete.cmd file in %systemdrive%\windows\setup\scripts\setupcomplete.cmd path. During the deployment there will be a KACE folder that contains the install information after all the pre/mid tasks are completed.
