M300 Inventory

I have 4 subnets each with 20+ clients. I installed the first client on a computer in one subnet making it the polling server, I assume, and all the pc's in that subnet pulled in correctly. I installed the client on a machine in each subnet though nothing else from those subnets polled. Can I redesignate the polling server to be one in a different subnet, reassigning it until it pulls in a complete inventory? Only other option is manually installing the client I guess?

Good question. If you go to Settings -> Deploy Agent, you can reassign the deployment server so that a machine on a different subnet receives the designation. The new deployment server will then discover machines on its respective subnet.

What would happen if I inventory computers in the manner you suggested (reassigning the deployment server designation per subnet), and then changed the subnet that an inventoried computer was on. Would the agent simply update the appliance with its current IP? That seems like the way it would work...
