SCCM 2012 Deploy Task Sequence fails installing driver: Error 8007000E Not enough storage....
Trying to deploy a USB driver on Lenovo T530 laptop as part of a deploy task sequence. TS step (package) to launch the setup.exe with silent and log switches, works when launched manually. TS gets an error "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation Error 8007000E"
I know this is not really a "storage" issue, does anyone have any experience with this error? SMSTS.log below:

Really reaching here but...
One of the interpretations of DOS Error 14 ('E' in hex is '14' in decimal) is "Unknown EXE type". Are you by any chance trying to run a 64-bit set-up stub to install the driver in WinPE?
If the stub supports logging, add the necessary arguments to log the install and set the TS to 'Continue on error'. While the next driver is installing, F8 into a command prompt (remember to allow console access!) and take a look at the log.
Also, is there a reason why you're not injecting drivers?

Thanks for taking the time to consider this issue! I am certain I am launching the 32bit stub of the executable. Additionally the log file created by the .exe looks like the installation completes. Rebooting after the install, still shows the Exclamation mark in the device manager.
I will look into injecting the driver as part of the deploy drivers step of the Task Sequence.
Thanks again for your thoughtful answer. I will respond back with the details on what happens. - davehancey 9 years ago
