Setup/Install an SDA on bare metal?
Is there a way to setup/install an SDA on an older desktop just to support remote offices without it needing to be virtualized? Many of our remote offices have an ESXi setup so I can use the virtual appliance there, but there are some that only have a local DC and firewall. I also have a few older desktops that are not being used, so I was wondering if it would be possible to use them as an SDA without needing an hypervisor.

Well, this is not supported.
For supported hardware platforms (G12 and G13 dell hardware) you can get an reimaging DVD but this is built for these.
The best way is to enable the Hyper-V-Role on the remote DC and install the VM there.

Thanks for the reply. In that case I can probably just run the Hyper-V one on a Windows 10 box. I was just hoping to avoid the overhead from the host os - fletch8527 4 years ago

instead of win10 you could just install hyper-V standalone - ferjero989 4 years ago
