!!! Warning do not use the guide unless you have already have a Windows XP w/ service pack 2.
At the bottom of this post you can find a guide on how to Slipstream Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Lets Go one Step Further!

You will notice, that even after you have slipstreamed Service Pack 2,
When you go to windows update you will find over 40mb of hotfixes you need
to download. If your on dial up that could take hours to download.

Why not slipstream those hotfixes to your Already Slipstream Windows XP with service pack 2?


I compiled all the english hotfixes for the month of July here.

(rapidshare is a free file server.) instructions: Click on FREE, then look for a counter, it will start to tick down to zero.
once it reaches zero, u will see the file name hotfixes new.rar
click on it to download. do not use download accelerators they dont allow this feature.

The rar file will contain a readme.txt that will give u instructions on what to do.

Goal

A: Slipstream hotfixes to a windows xp with service pack 2
B: Install hotfixes after you have already install service pack 2

You should find two CMD files in the hotfix folder

Post Update.cmd does exactly what its name means. It install the hotfixes it you already have windows XP installed.

Update.cmd is what we will be using if you want to slipstream the Hotfixes for Windows XP with Service Pack 2

Notes:

With Post Update.cmd we dont need to modify the cmd since it is design to install the hotfixes for you silently and automatically.

With Update.cmd you will need to Edit the source of your Slipstreamed Windows XP.

The only thing u need to edit with update.cmd is this

"set sourcedir=C:\XP"

It is currently set to c:\xp change this to the lacation of your XP source Folder.
