Switching of Multiple branch distribution points
Hi,
I am in a situation where I will need to configure BDPs at one site due to an offline build...
But I am just wondering if anyone has setup a location with multiple BDPs?
I have checked various "googled" articles including MS and seems to work fine...I hear that the BDPs perform a round robin affect...
If there were two BDPs (BDP1 and BDP2) and packages were deployed/installed to a client from BDP1.
And the installation is from source....not download or drop and run...
If BDP1 was suddenly switched off during a deployed application or repair of product and the advertised shortcut needed to go to the source....what would be the affect?
As time is against me during builds, how long would it take until the switch to BDP2 take.....is it immediately or hours?
Has ran into this scenario?
