USMT does not migrate the Tiles menu
Hi
When we use USMT through SCCM in stead of with our User Profile Central management center (UPC), we get different results.
Running through SCCM the users Tiles menu doesn't migrate but it does through UPC?
On before hand THX

USMT is controlled through various XML files that specify which settings and files are to be transferred. Are you using the same settings for both SCCM and UPC? - chucksteel 7 years ago

Hi Gina
I believe you will experience that the Tiles menu does NOT migrate with USMT when you are on Windows 10 after update 1607. In this regard the custom Win10.xml we built for Windows 10 does not work anymore.
Microsoft really has a BIG issue with their marketing department interfering with the development teams work.
Also MS focus on updating and maintaining USMT is far from good enough.
With kind regards
Sam

Hi
This has been fixed with the latest custom set of XML files released June 11 2018!
With the latest change, both Tiles, Start menu AND Taskbar shortcuts are migrated successfully.
And you're right that if you update to the XML's above, both SCCM and User Profile Central will migrate Tiles
Disclaimer:
As MS constantly changes things in Win10 I do not make any promises but for now it works from Windows 10 v.1709 and 1803 to 1709 and 1803.
