Why can't I select anything from the K2000 KBE main menu

I am having this problem with one Latitude E6420 only.  I am able to PXE boot to the K2000 Main Menu but unable to select (click) any of the selections i.e. Scripted Installation, Imaging, Recovery, Hardware Inventory, Restart or Shutdown.  External mouse behaves the same as the touchpad, pointer moves but no clicking capable.

Anybody seen this?

have not seen this behavoir, have you tried a factory reset in bios, compared bios versions and settings against a known working one.

Comments:
  • I did do a reset and was able to update to A15 but that did nothing. I was trying some key combinations CTRL-ALT-DEL, CTRL-ALT-Fn-DEL, CTRL-ALT-Down, etc. and somehow got it to respond. Not sure what I did but system is now imaged and I hope I never see this issue again. - jmaier 12 years ago
    • work around is after it pxe boots you have the mac in your k2000 tables. assign a job to run upon boot and re-pxe boot and walk away. - SMal.tmcc 12 years ago
  • I think it was a palmrest issue. After re-imaging, the left mouse button behaves as the right button. Having palmrest replaced. - jmaier 12 years ago
