Why does my Kbox keep failing to install RightFax Print Processor and RightFax Client?
I have tried this as a Script and a Managed Install and nothing has worked. I also tried it with the MSI Configuration Wizard. These are the parameters that I am trying to use, but does not seem to work:
msiexec.exe /i "RightFax Print Processor x64.msi" /qn RUNFROMSETUP=1 INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files (x86)\RightFax\"
msiexec.exe /i "RightFax Print Processor x64.msi" /qn RUNFROMSETUP=1 INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files (x86)\RightFax\"

I'm guessing installing it manually with the same command line works as expected? Have you checked the Event Viewer, or ran it with verbose logging (add /lvx* "%TEMP%\RightFaxInstall.log" to the command line) to look for specific problems? - BHC-Austin 10 years ago

As far as I remember we had some issues with RightFax Print Processor because it is installed per user by default - maybe you have got older version that was installed from other user account and now can't be upgraded from the SYSTEM account - I'm just guessing right now, I think that verbose logging or event viewer is the first thing to check. - rad33k 10 years ago

I have to ask why you would want to install a 64bit application (based on the MSI name) into the 32 bit folder path? - EdT 10 years ago

It is a 64 bit program, but for some reason, it dumps it in Program Files (x86). - tsienkiewicz@ldirx.com 10 years ago
