Windows Media Player and Sysprep
I'm creating a sysprep deployment image of WinXP SP2, and after imaging a machine, minisetup creates icons for WMP in both the start menu recent programs list, and in the start menu programs folder. I've tried adding [Components] WMPOCM=OFF to my unattend.txt, and changing the following local policies before sysprep:
Computer Config>Admin Templates>Windows Components>Windows Media Player:
-Do Not Show First Use Dialog Boxes
-Prevent Desktop Shortcut Creation
-Prevent Quick Launch Toolbar Shortcut Creation
-Prevent Automatic Updates
.. but that only takes the icon off of the desktop.
Also, minisetup adds favorites to what I want to be a blank menu. Any ideas???
