Here's the command line I'm using, including the patches to 9.1 and 9.1.2:

msiexec /i path_to_acrobat_standard_or_pro.msi TRANSFORMS=%path_to_acrobat_standard_or_pro.mst /update \\server\path\AcroProStdUpd910_T1T2_incr.msp;\\server\path\AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp ALLUSERS=2 REBOOT=ReallySuppress /qn /Liv path_to_logfile_.log

Note
If you Need to update Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro to the 9.4 update patch the following needs to take place..

1. You need to create an Administrative Install Point (AIP) before you can start slipstreaming the patches in.
Download the Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0 CD
2. Run msiexec /a C:\ (original copy of 9.0) acroPro.msi
It will run through a dialog box asking where to install it. Create a folder like c:\Adobe Acrobat 9.4 Pro and use that. This will be your new deployment folder
After that install completes, copy the 9.1.0; 9.1.2; 9.2.0; 9.3.0; 9.3.2 9.3.3, and 9.4.0 .msp files into the c:\Adobe Acrobat 9.4 Pro folder.
At a command prompt on the new folder c:\Adobe Acrobat 9.4 Pro run the commands the the update you want. IN this example 9.4
msiexec /a acroPro.msi /p AcrobatUpd910_T1T2_incr.msp
msiexec /a acroPro.msi /p AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp
msiexec /a acroPro.msi /p AcrobatUpd920_all_incr.msp
3. msiexec /a acroPro.msi /p AcrobatUpd930_all_incr.msp
4. msiexec /a acroPro.msi /p AcrobatUpd932_all_incr.msp
5. msiexec /a acroPro.msi /p AcrobatUpd933_all_incr.msp
6. msiexec /a acroPro.msi /p AcrobatUpd940_all_incr.msp
By doing this you are slipstreaming the patch(s) into the original acroPro.msi into the AIP (c:\Adobe Acrobat 9.4 Pro) install and creating a new one to deploy the lastest version patch. After you run through all the patches, copy the c:\Adobe Acrobat 9.4 Pro directory to your server and use that .msi to deploy. You can delete all the .msp files to save space.
This steps can be used for reader as well

Note

Not all updates should be slipstreamed, adobe has 2 types of updates, quarterly and security updates. Only quarterly updates should be slipstreamed. To see which updates have which type, please check http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/498/cpsid_49880.html.

Note
To extract the Adobe Professional 9.x MSI installer for enterprise deployment:

Download the APRO9_Win_ESD1_WWEFG.exe from licensing.adobe.com after you've been approved and received your license key.

Place the EXE file on your desktop, and go to Start | RUN. In the Run Command box, type "%UserProfile%\Desktop\APRO9_Win_ESD1_WWEFG.exe" -nos_ne. (The quotes and the period at the end are necessary). Click OK and you should be prompted to begin extracting the files to a desktop folder called "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro". Once the extraction screen clears, you can stop the install. Inside this Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro folder on your desktop should be another folder called "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro", and inside of this subfolder, you will find the AcroPro.msi.

Note
In order to install the latest patch for Acrobat Pro 9 which will upgrade the package to version 9.1.3, use the following additional commandline in the [Product] section of "Setup.ini" file which comes with the source.

[Product]
....
PATCH="AcroProStdUpd910_T1T2_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd911_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd913_all_incr.msp"

This installs all the patch packages that are specified in the order mentioned here.

Note
Slipstreaming the latest patches for a Adobe Acrobat Standard / Professional installation was quite a puzzle.

The working order was;
Original 9.0 > 9.1.0 (AcroProStdUpd910_T1T2_incr.msp)
9.1.0 > 9.1.2 (AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp)
9.1.2 > 9.2.0 (AcrobatUpd920_all_incr.msp) on the website http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4559
It is written that it can upgrade version 9.1.3 but that will not work.

Virtualization

The following thread has information about a common .net error (PDAPP.exe error) sequencing Adobe products:

steps
 application configration phase
 1. Launch Photo Shop Elements 9.0.exe
 2. Exit PSE9.0.exe
 3. Click Next button
 4. Click Finish button
 5. open explore.exe
     copy directory (Overwrite all)
     From c:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\Microsoft.VC90.CRT
     To Q:\<PACKAGE_ROOT_DIR>\VFS\CSIDL_PROGRAM_FILES_COMMON\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\Microsoft.VC90.CRT
 6.delete .config files
     Q:\<PACKAGE_ROOT_DIR>\VFS\CSIDL_PROGRAM_FILES_COMMON\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\*.config
 7. finish

This problem is that perhaps, DLL of the version difference is in the Microsoft.VC90.CRT folder.

Also, note when considering sequencing Adobe Acrobat that the physical Adobe PDF Printer can't be virtualized. Even if some package could be put together to install the Adobe PDF printer outside of virtualization (Adobe doesn't have any documentation that I could find on this) there are also Adobe IE-plugins that are necessary to print directly from IE to the Adobe PDF printer.

Since I've had to package this and it has millions of updates now that we're in 08/2013 here is what I did, using information from other users:

Went to licensing.adobe.com and downloaded the .exe for Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 (I just stuck it on C:\Packages\)

Went to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows and downloaded every update there is between 9.0.0 and 10.0.0

Went to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3993 , downloaded and installed the Adobe Customization Tool 9.

Extracted the Acrobat Pro 9 .exe - I just used WINRAR, I didn't use the command line option.

Go to the Extracted folder and go into the Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro folder, Copy the AcroPro.MSI, Data1.cab, and Setup.ini - I put them in a nice folder called Release.

Press Start, navigate and launch Adobe Customization Wizard 9, open and navigate to the AcroPro.MSI in the release folder.

For the most part you will probably have specific requirements for what options you will use, so go down the panels making your adjustments in the Wizard... Once satisfied if your options create the transform.

That was pretty much it for what I did. Right now you would have a Release folder with these files:

AcroPro.MSI

AcroPro.MST

Data1.cab

setup.ini

I then copied all of the .msp updates to the same release folder. (23 .msp files).

That's your package set.

COMMAND LINE:

The command line is a b****. You have to do:

MSIEXEC.EXE /I "AcroPro.Msi" TRANSFORMS="AcroPro.Mst" /Update AcroProStdUpd910_T1T2_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd911_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd913_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd920_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd930_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd931_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd932_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd933_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd934_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd940_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd941_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd942_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd943_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd944_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd945_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd946_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd947_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd950_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd951_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd952_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd953_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd954_all_incr.msp;AcrobatUpd955_all_incr.msp /QN

For SCCM. If you're doing a test on a local machine or VM, you will have to put the location of the folder in the command line, for each .msp too. Annoying.

Notes:

I don't like to add the REBOOT, ALLUSERS, etc into the Command line, I add them into the .MST Property Table.

TA DAAA!!!

Like veenstra55 said : When you want the latest patches, it's was a quite puzzle. I would add that when we do not have a customization file to add (mst), you can install 9.0 original and then 9.3 patch directly... but if you have a mst, you have to make the complete download of all the patches on this site : http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates. It's crazy, but here it's a good example of Adobe installation issue.

Example : To install 9.3.0, you have to install in this order -> 9.0 original(msi) -> 9.1(msp) -> 9.1.1(msp) -> 9.1.2(msp) -> 9.1.3(msp) -> 9.2(msp) -> 9.3(msp).

I installed the French and English and I did it with ZENworks and it works.

When you've used the Configuration Wizard to generate a new transform and want to run the MSI directly (apart from setup), you might get a blank popup box, just saying: "Error".

Solution to this problem is adding the the property ISX_SERIALNUMBER=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX directly to your command line (even though already specified it in the .mst)

Note
I was getting an invalid serial number error after I upgraded from 9.0 to 9.3.2 using Adobe's recommended pathway.

I had to make a transform using the original 9.0 msi and my serial number and then call the same transform each time I patched a quarterly update.

I know this might look strange. I have several other MI's that work perfectly without the full path being spelled out on any of the files involved but for some reason.... this one kicked my back side for 2 days. I finally arrived at this solution with Kace tech support assistance. The technician was a little surprised at the effort and final resolution as well.

Virtualization

When virtualizing Adobe Professional 9.x with App-V don't open LiveCycle as it will capture the creation of the 'Fragments' directory within the current profile. This will cause a one-time error when running LiveCycle as a virtual app since the 'Fragments' directory will no longer be present.
