Can a machine that's excluded from a label receive a deployment if an inventory check hasn't been run?

Basically, when does inventory run on machines that come online and are due to receive patches... If the machine's smart label has been edited to exclude the machine, Is there any known scenario where the patches could be installed before inventory runs to remove the machine from the label in order to prevent the patches?

Thanks

yes agent jobs are queued on the k1000 (label change is a job). so a machine could get a job to update the label after inventory because of other jobs push it down in the queue. Also if the k1000 is busy there could be a delay in updating inventory and the patching engine could have already fired off.

I am running 6.4 so it may look a little different then yours

The patching schedule is independent of inventory updates, so yes, it is possible that a machine could get patched before being removed from a label. This has actually happened to us a couple of times and we patched machines that were supposed to be excluded from our default patching schedule.
