Connecting to remote LDAP server

Hi Everyone

Im having a really weird issue trying to get the KBOX to connect to an LDAP server on a different network and it wont connect
The two networks are seperated by a VLAN which means if i add a static route entry for the remote network on my computer, i can ping the remote LDAP server. I can even browse the LDAP of the server with an LDAP browser on my computer.

When i add a route entry in the KBOX "Local Route Table" it cant connect to the remote LDAP server. Its as if it still wants to go through the default gateway. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Can i do a test similar to tracert to see what route it takes when i do a ping?

Many Thanks

you could check it by logging in as netdiag user to console and running

route get ip_of_ldap

If you're convinced it's not on the networking side then simply provide support with evidence to contrary
