GPO & Remote Users
I hope this is the right area for this question.
Remote users who connect through the VPN are not having the group policies filter down to their machines. In particular the IE proxy setting. The domain group policies work on all internal and "site" machines, just not those who connect through the VPN. They connect to our network with no problems and can access eveything (they just don't get the policies) so I don't think it can be a port issue. I have also enabled both slow link detection policies in the user and computer configurations.
Anyone have any ideas? We are kind of desperate as the changeover date to our new domain structure is September 2nd. All assistance gratefully received.

Hi Revizor ...
First and foremost let me thank you for your response.
I'm afraid the gpupdate does not make one bit of difference. I have been given the suggestion to turn the slow link detection policies off altogether. It has not occurred to me to try that because it seems to defy the purpose of those policies but at this point I am willing to try anything once so I will do that on Monday.
In the meantime all suggestions still very much appreciated. :o)

Hi brenthunter ...
Well since I posted last it has been chaotic in transferring over to our new domain structure. We decided to leave the actual testing of remote group policies until after the transfer and concentrated on all other "internal" user policies so that we could get the majority up and running before the deadline. We have done that now for the most part successfully but now I am on leave for a couple of weeks and so will not find out the results of remote user testing until I get back.
I shall keep you informed. Thanks very much for your enquiry though!
