Help finding Email client for roaming profiles (not possible with Outlook)
Hi!!!
We are looking for an email client to install for our users, about 120 students and teachers. Since we are not running MS Office, we don't have the option of running Outlook, which would have been a natural choice. Is there any other emailclient that works for roaming clients?
Best regards

what email back end are you running?
What type of email connection ? IMAP?
I would suggest thuderbird.
It even looks very similar to outlook.
http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/
A few other clients have ads which are annoying.
Install it on test machine and give it a go.
I work for a uni and i have seen many clients during my time.
From netscape mail, eudora... pegasus... etc.
I think for freeware thunderbird would have to be at the top of my list.

Hi!!!
Does Thunderbird have the possibilty for roaming clients, so that the user can use any computer he/she have access to?
Will the settings for Thunderbird and emailbox follow the client to different computers?
For the moment we have don't have the emailserver inhouse...so the best would be to have a client that can store inbox, settings etc on the users home directory in AD.
best regards
